  12.30 pm Thursday 7th January, Gillies Restaurant very busy with shoppers, shop staff and workmen all having lunch. Delighted to say we were very impressed with the efficiency and friendliness of all the staff who were coping very well considering most tables were occupied. Tables were cleared and cleaned quickly and no customers had to wait to find a vacant table. Both myself and sister have specific diet restrictions and were unable to choose from the wide range of food available (even though everything looked very tempting) and a member of the catering staff was good enough to prepare meals specifically for us not listed on the menu at no extra charge. When paying for our meals and drinks we were asked if we required any additional condiments (mustard, sauce, or salad dressings) and directed us to were the cutlery and napkins were. It was a most enjoyable lunch and we were not disappointed. The lady who prepared our lunch was called Marie and I would like to take this opportunity to thank her for putting the time and effort into serving us.
